ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Lock Problem

Hey guys, got a few questions for your expertise and all.

Is it possible to open the locks on the cb7s (91-EX) without keys and without breaking the windows? Reason I ask is because I parked my car on the street in a sort of seedy neighborhood and came back with the locks up. And my glove trashed. Luckily nothing important was stolen. So, is it possible? Is there anything I can do about it?

2nd question, my passenger door cannot be opened with a key lately. It used to work last week. What do you think is the cause?

    Thanks for your time.

Yes, it is possible to pop the locks without keys. I'd say someone popped your passenger door and messed up the rods in the door. Pull the panel off, look for a disconnected or bent rod and fix it, then get an alarm.

      Yeah.

The last time i locked my keys in my car, the guy just shoved a rod through my door weather stripping, and pulled the lock tab up...

CB's are very easy to get into. My advice - Get an alarm

If at first you don't succeed, Try again. Don't give up too easily, persistance pays off in the end.

          Thanks for the replies guys.

I saw that the weather stripping around the door handle did have what looks like there was something shoved inside.

Does the alarm make it harder to open? Or would it just be the sound that would deter the thieves?

            Shim-jim will do it, yep.

I locked my keys in the car once and I pushed the window down with my hands till it dropped an inch and then could use a coat hanger on the lock.
