ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    To Repair or To Replace...

so i wrecked my CB thursday evening
    http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=129418
and the radiator support is crushed in enough to need to be replaced. That entails taking the front end off which needs to mostly be replaced. I Love my CB and we've had loads of great memories...many of which are tagged in sharpie on the roof....but drilling out spot welds to change the support and then welding in a new one doesn't seem like something i want to do honestly. especially when i'll have to do the same to take it off the donor car. I have a Rotor-over-hub conversion, 11" drilled rotors, V6 calipers, A6 manifold, backordered braided brake lines, lowering shocks and struts sitting in my garage. rims ordered supposed to be in monday. The F22 is built (bored .020, higher compression, chromoly rings, IHE, Unknown type of non-stock cam) so swapping it is a must. My original plan was to do a 5spd swap and rear disk swap but if i can find a car already set up as such.

so the point of this is,

Do i stick with my dear Charlene (aka Charlie) whom i love?

Or do i find a new CB to love with a transplanted Charlie heart?

FIX IT! My son just nosed his CB7 this weekend. Looking at girls and not paying attention. Ran in back of a ford explorer. Ford explorer wasnt damaged! My son pissed me off! Well anyways Im going to try to fix this thing. core support is crushed. I think i can put it back together. So, in order to replace the core support you haveto cut it out and weld the new piece in??I say fix it man! our cars are somewhat easy to fix.

By all means fix it. Core support changes are easy as pie on Hondas. I was in the same situation in about '04 with my old Accord and to this day I still regret having gotten rid of it for something so trivial.

          keep it

          u know u luv ur CB7

cuz i sure do, i just recetly bump into a truck
and his ball hitch popped a hole in the bumper,
i think what it is is that u dont like seeing ur car look that way,

but it will be worth it to get it back to how u want it . . .

            Fix it.

That's how I got my Prelude, it was in a junkyard with the front end all smashed in. Picked up a new front clip and changed core supports, and life is good. It didn't take more than a day to change everything, it was really pretty easy.

As long as there's no frame damage, it's always worth fixing.

so it seems as popular opinion is to fix her

now comes the mission of finding a donor car
