ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

    the sway bar thread

your sway bar in the front is 22.3 mm (you wont find that info in the thread i linked, but i promise you its the bar you have)
    you have no rear

you can upgrade the front sway bar to the ex/se bar, which is 25 mm, however you should focus more on the lack of the rear one first.
the ex/se rear bar is 14 mm
there are other cars you can grab the rear bar from, and i think the biggest you can et that will fit is 16, before you have to go aftermarket. but from what i have read on here, its easier to instal an after market rear bar than the oem.

also a thread to read would be this one, it definitely will help you to tune your suspension

    good luck

i checked you mrt, and if you really want to get rid of body roll, stock height is kind of a big problem for our cars, once you drop about 1.5 inches you will definitely feel a dramatic decrease in body roll, it gets better the lower the car is

Yes you only have a 22mm front sway bar as posted above

To add a stock rear sway bar you will need the whole rear cross member off of a car with a rear sway bar. The brackets to mount the sway bar are bolted to the cross member but it has nuts welded inside the cross member to hold the bracket on. So you cant really add the bracket Stock rear sway br is 14mm. It came on ALL 1990-1993 EX's and SE's. A stock rear sway bar was also included on 1991-1993 LX wagons

The 10th AE does not have a rear sway bar

Yeah i had my car dumped on some sleeves i had from a buddy the body roll was next to nothing.. but the drop was to steep for me.. Im planning a complete suspension overhaul...

How hard is it to change crossmembers for the rear so i can add that one as well?

Does this require the factory mounting spots.. or would it go on my DX?

              Good info.

Just to clear one thing up though, the decrease in body roll is usually due to the stiffer spring rate of aftermarket lowering springs, rather than the lower ride height.

Don't know about the progress bar, but a stock crossmember is mounted with four big bolts to the underside of the body, and two long bolts that connect the control arms to the rear hubs. Find an EX in a jy (if you take the hubs as well you can have rear disk brakes). Make sure you have the alignment checked after the swap. If you were near OH, I could provide a set of EX sway bars including the rear crossmember.

from what i think i remember, its actually easier to install the progress sway bar on CB's not equipped with disk brakes, i cannot remember exactly why though, sorry; however since the OP has a DX i guess he will not need to worry then.

ill try to find the thread that i have read, it wil be a little difficult as i have read ALOT of suspension threads, but i think it was a diy.

and to "TheNextEpisode", that is an excellent point

                    here is the diy
so i am pretty sure it is the right thread, however i must have remembered incorrectly
                    heres a quote
" Some modification of the brake line mounting tab may be required (mine did not, so it may be a rear drum thing)."

any way, i think i am done here, good luck

i was closing tabs on my browser and found the instruction manual on how to instal the bar
here you go it seems to be straight from the comapny "Progress" website
