ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Starting Prob

I have a 92 coupe with about 225000 miles, Its my daily driver, i am having an issue starting the car, New battery, alternator, dizzy, has a new PCV valve, fresh oil , new battery cable, new sparks, everything has been maintained, I have checked the battery and the alternator several times, the plugs and almost everything else myself ! Doesn't make sense, it just keeps on cranking and after 3 to 6 times it starts, normally its takes one crank and it starts right up. All the connections are good, had all the parts listed above changed abt 2000 miles ago. and the air filter too.

    Any ideas ??
    Thanks in advance !!

How long do you hold the key in the start position each of the 3 to 6 times? When you changed the distributor, did you reset the timing? Ever changed the fuel filter? Do you have a gauge to check the fuel pressure? Once it starts, does it run normally?

Well just as usual, about a few second, maybe less, yes i did reset the timing, and yes i have changed the fuel filter, i forgot to add that !
No i dont have the gauge to check the fuel pressure, Once it starts, it drives like new, never fails, and if i stop and start it again even after 5 min, it starts right back, but if its about 30 min or so, then i face the same issue.
        Thanks

Try holding the key in the run position for a few seconds before you crank it over to the start position to let it pump fuel all the way back up to the injectors. Most likely, it's just sluggish and cranky because of the cold. Mine takes a little longer to start when she's cold.

Tried it, still the same, makes me wonder ! what else needs to be replaced when almost everything is new !

Maybe the starter? Check if its tight? Most likely its just the cold.
