ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

help my accord ex keeps over heating

    hello all,
i have a big problem. my 90 accord ex keeps over heating. i changed my timimg belt and water pump, that's were my problem started. i was told there is " air " in my cooling system. i never heard of this so i removed my thermostat. thinking straight coolant should do the trick. all my fans work. i just don't wanna melt my head, any help would be greatly apperecatied.

Have you checked for any leaks, I recently had one and it made my cb7 overheat.

Actually this is happening to me too ATM. I had a huge leak of coolant and think my radiator hose is busted or the entire radiator itself. As said, check for any leaks. Tow it everywhere.

Maybe a radiator flush could solve the problem.

theres an air bleeder on top of the thermostat housing. open it up slightly and let the car run for a few minutes. should let it all out.

Or get a radiator cap with the safety valve or with CAUTION with the car warm remove the cap and let the air out that way. Theses ways work for me every time.

I have had the same issues with overheating as well. Opened up the bleeder valve and let it run for about 5 minutes until i had a nice consistent stream of coolant comeing out and havent had an issue since. Quick and simple and easy overlooked.

I've found that if I raise the front of the car (ramps or with a floor jack) when filling the system, it leaves very little air in it. Still, bleed it at the thermostat housing.

don't forget to turn your heart on full blast when bleeding the air out of your system.

fixed it to "heat" for you instead of "heart".
