Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    tire tread ??

    I need tires really bad ,don't have the money for new ones so I call this fancy ass junk yard where they sell only new car parts and they have some 195/55/15 with the front ones having 8/32 tread left and the rear ones 9/32 they want 150 for all four not mounted so the ?? Is . Is it worth it or that's not enough life left on the tires any help please!!!!

    The average new tire comes with 10/32-11/32 of tread depth. I've currently put about 35K on a set of tires and used 5/32 of tread.

    $150 isn't bad for a set of 4, expect to pay roughly $20/tire to mount them unless you've got a hookup.

      How much are you looking to spend? Also do you need all four right now? or can you just buy two maybe until next pay or something?

        Check craigslist. People always selling decent tires there..

        Beware of JY tires and from used shops.. They put the shine on there tires look new. Make sure you check the age of them. Otherwise when the shine where's off the tires could be dry rotting.

          I've both tires from them before and they are awesome but the previous times I bought then by pairs but now my tires are pretty slippery the ones on the back were on the front for a long time ,they were cheaper then and this tires they have now are all matching from the same car so I think with the advices I've got from yall im going to pick them up tomorrow thNks fellas

            New tires will run you about $65-$75 per tire, before mounting, if you buy a decent brand's low-end (you can get cheap shit tires for less, but I wouldn't risk my life with cheap tires.)

            Your tires are the only thing connecting your car to the ground. Don't cheap out, and don't trust crap tires. Spend money on quality tires if you value your life. Hospital bills, repair bills, and insurance premium increases aren't worth saving a few bucks by buying crap tires.

              That's a fair price and yes it's worth it if u go through and inspect all the tires for anything wrong with em. But new tires are best cuz u know what ur getting. If ur in a money crunch go with those for now
