ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Parking lights/corners stay on dimly

hey so it's been awhile since I've been on here so I hope this post is in the right place and the pics come through. So me and my friend changed the bulbs in my front corner lights and now one bulb on each corner stays dimly lit all the time even after the car is off. Two other things to note the bulbs that stay on now we're completely burnt before I replaced them and I replaced them with led bulbs that may not be the right ones. If anyone has seen this or has any ideas that can help I would appreciate it. Oh and It kinda looks like it's just the reflectors shining in the pic but they are definitely on. Thanks for your time.

bad relay or bad ground . go through the car check all grounds . if that dont do any thing then try unplugging stuff . warning unplugging the hazards will cause them to turn off but can also be the source of the problem .

Ok thanks I've had problems with my gauges working intermittantly and my wind shield wipers would only work on max the other day for like 2 min then they were fine. Could these problems also be related to a bad ground or relay?

yes it can but one thing i for got to say is it can also be a short .

the only bad circuit's i can think of would be the hazard switch , or the one that is on the steering calium for the turn single . note like i said if you unplug the hazards the lights should turn off but you're turn singles and stuff wont work. look for wire's that are bear maybe shorting and loose grounds or dirty . even the battery terminals . every ground leads effect lots of stuff on these cars even performance .

Update: pulled the fuse on the hazard circuit lights were still on weirdly enough. I'll have to keep looking

Whoa...you may have a fun time trying to track this down...

This is the schematic you need. It may not mean much to you now, but it provides a lot of info which I will explain.

You mentioned that your gauges and your wipers stopped working. All of those things are attached to Ground g in the schematic. I would start there.

Next check Ground C, steering wheel switch and last would be your ICU, but I haven't seen those go bad.

EDIT: A fast way to do the checking is to just unplug the harness to those aforementioned items.

Are these regular incandescent bulbs or LEDs? I had the same issue when I used LEDs in those same spots on the corners. Ended up going back to a regular bulb. problem was fixed.

Re-read your OP. I think if you want to run a LED in that particular spot your going to need a resistor for the LED.

                      X2^^^^^

Same thing happened when I put LEDs on my corners. Didn't want to mess with any resistors so I just went back to the regular bulbs.

Yeah its just Becasuse they're cheap leds. Probably the $14.99 AutoZone ones. I had those and same thing. If you had a bad ground or relay an led either wouldn't work at all or flicker or something. And it doesn't hyperblink so there's nothing electrically wrong with it. It just requires such a low amount of power (milliamps) that they glow a little.

Don't worry about it, won't hurt Your battery or anything.

Also our hazards and signals are two different fuses. I know the signals are on the blue 15amp "small interior light" if i remember correctly the hazards are a 10 amp fuse which is red.

Your wipers and stuff most likely arent related to the led in your corner lights.

Shit, I just bought these LEDs for new clean corner lights and hit pay before I read this.

Any guide on getting resistors in there?

You shouldn't need any. Those are cree leds higher power than the regular bulb lookng diodes, and regular surface mount diodes.

Let me know if you can see those in the day at all. I have smd cree projectors in my corners and sidemarkers. Very visible during daylight. No hyperblink no resistors.

I will do my best, the bulbs should be here sometime this week and car is garaged at the moment due to no insurance.
I will say I got similar lights for the interior and they left spots in my eyes when installing in the door panels.
