ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Source for bolts?

I need to replace the 4 shouldered bolts for the hub to rotor mount on the front.

Auto parts stores don't carry them. Is there a source other than OEM?

You could try a machine shop or a fastener shop, if you have ether in your area. I was able to pick up a few odds and sodds bolts over the years from Fastenal. Sometimes the dealership isn't all that much more expensive for nuts and bolts. Specially if you get in good with the parts guys or mechanics.

Are you talking about the 12 point bolts that secure it to the spindle? You can get a quality bolt with the same thread and it will work the same. Just get hard ones, like... 9.8

You can still get the bolts for hub to rotor and bearing to knuckle from Honda. www.hondaautomotiveparts.com is always helpful to identify Honda part numbers even if you go to your local dealer. The Honda bolt for bearing to knuckle is no longer a 12 point; it now has a large hex head. Unfortunately, you still need a 12 point socket to get the old ones out. I keep a set of longer bolts with this same thread to hammer on to remove the bearing.

There is always the salvage yard as well.

McMaster is a good source for high quality and hard-to-find bolts. It's often cheaper to buy a box of grade 10.9 bolts at McMaster compared to just a few at the local store.

Thanks guys, found them online. Gotta love Google.

I have used McMaster Carr for a lot of things on my Chevelle build as well. Great place. Getting ready to order aluminum bolts from them to help with weight reduction on that project for non critical areas.
