ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Brakelights always on, help please!

The problem: the brakelights are on constantly even if the car is off.
What I've done: a search for this issue on the message board and found good info and have tried several things i read. I have replace all the bulbs, i replaced a pigtail which i thought was the issue...i've cleaned any dirty connections..made sure brake fluid is topped off...checked all fuses...
What i found: i found the little circuit board on the passenger side tail light and it was damp...i cleaned and dried it all up...the only light that doesn't come on is the third brakelight and the bulb has been replaced....

would i be correct in replacing the small once wet circuit board at this point or should i try some other things out prior to that? has anyone had the same issue before and was able to fix it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

foreal , that dampness could have possibly messed it up. while you're at it , you could also check the brake light switch.

Look on your brake pedal...That usually causes a constant on brake light. Follow it up and should be a button like thing that touches it. Get someone to stand behind the car while you press that button in. IF the light goes out you prob need that lil plastic piece on the brake pedal. Most likely it wore out or broke to pieces from years of abuse. This happened to my friends DA teg. The lil plastic on the pedal itself broke forgot what it was called.

i haven't looked at mine yet, but i had the idea that maybe the switch has worn out enough to just need an adjustment. i had the same problem on 1 of my ole rides and i just adjusted it by screwing it out a bit so the switch was not engaged all the time. just my &.02
