    Interior fabrics

Where are some good stores to find fabrics like leather, suede, vinyls, etc? I've looked at Joann's and they've only got a small selection of velvet and some vinyls.

And what is a good adhesive to use to apply them with?

yea make sure you get the 3m extreme heavy duty stuff, and dont fuck it up or you just wasted like 14 bucks. its pretty easy to wrap interior panels, just measure twice and cut once. good luck

I believe I got my fabric at Hancock fabrics. Sprayed with Elmers Adhesive Spray. 3M isn't the best..

          My door panels:

Looks pretty OEM but I just wanted it to look clean!

Could you wrap something like the pillars that are next to the front seats? I forget what those ones are called. I'd think the shape would really suck to wrap, but I'm not sure. Any tricks? :/

                Time & patience.

Shouldn't be too hard! My door panels were fairly easy just time consuming..and tucking the fabric was a bit tough. Still isn't perfect..to me atleast haha.

That's my guess. My rear passenger side door is missing this as well. I wanna replace it on all my doors because it looks like house carpet.

You can check out my BB6 Dash Swap thread, the whole interior is being done in Alcantara suede.

Look more for upholstery shops rather than craft stores and fabrics. A good site to try would be www.selectproducts.com as they sell all kinds of carpet, vinyl, etc. for custom car audio installs.

I suggest staying away from any aerosol spray glue. It all dries out and lets loose after time. The glue being used on my interior is professional grade glue from DAP called Weldwood Contact Adhesive. It is pricey, and unfortunately only comes in a 5 gal can. It's meant to be sprayed from a spray gun. This would be as good or better than OEM glue.

Just came across this site, they have material...
