    One Piece Resurrection

I don't consider this a DIY, but in many ways it is. I have an extra set of one piece headlights with the driver's side being severely cracked. I decided to try and fix the broken lens. Here is what I did:

    The cracked lens.

The part I used to fix it. Note I cut along the line towards the front of the lens.

Placed it over the broken lens for fitment.

Painter's tape for good measure and traced the outline.

Then, with the trusty Dremel, I went to town.

    Close fit.

    After some trimming...

    Nice fit.

Next comes epoxy and we will see how it looks.

Like I said in the original post, this is my extra set. So the lines not lining up is no big deal. I'm doing this more for the experience than anything.

Do you think the epoxy will hold?

I had a set of jdm 1 piece headlights with similar damaged and had same idea to fix them but sadly I never got around to do them.

It looks good, it's better than having a cracked lense.

I did not like the miss-matched lines. So I was getting ready to do something different when i came across these:

Without the lines, the headlight doesnt look that bad. It actually looks better. Imagine them blackhoused...too sick!
Nice and very clever idea. Is there any way to sand down the nipples?
Hopefully they dont yellow in time.

Looks like I will be hitting this up as well since I damaged my 1pcers when I wrecked my coupe back in Jan. I haven't look at the DIY yet but I am sure it is good!. And that does look pretty sick. And mine are black housed with yellow inards....we shall see.

And on the car. (I had to use the corner piece off a jdm 2pc headlight, which apparently is a bit more transparent that the 1 pc. It almost looks like nothing is there. You can literally see the bulb hole (very well) lol oh well
