k swap time

I take far more enjoyment in DRIVING my car, than showing off what's under the hood.

I too would rather drive my car then show it off. But, an h22 looks nice in there, real nice. A turbo system is also a big fat show off item too.

Not really sure why this guy desires the k. Its a nice motor, but as you said a 400whp turbo h22 could be had for the same price, if not cheaper. And, for what its worth, the engine bay looks like shit(my opinion) in a K powered car. That intake is soooo awesome to look at, lol.

I think it makes the bay look like a cavalier/neon, and generally speaking cluttered.

id much rather pop the hood and find a turbo inlet the size of a coffee can paired with a nice manifold and a shiny new wastegate.

IMO, the point of the engine is to move the car. How often do you pop your hood to show off what you have under there? How often do you plan on doing it with the K?

I understand how ppl can think I wanna show it off but in all reality its just my taste. I want a k20 ef hatch and a k24 vtec cb. It will also be driven regularly so h or f series isn't what I want. K's are very reliable and make tons of power like deev said so there isn't any drawback to my plan. This car is getting rebuilt piece by piece, suspension, interior, engine bay, cause I want to express my style and passion for tuning not for "show". Like the feedback tho cause it let's me know how u guys think lol but I like n/a so no turbo setups for me fellas. And I don't mind spendin a ton of money cause I love my cars and if I hit a wall I got another dd to get me to work til I can buy what I need to get over it

Ppl are so concerned with what is cheaper or what else u can get with the money, my advice to u is don't cheap out on your car or goals for it. Build what u want and pay whatever it takes to make that vision or goal come to.

You can make plenty of N/A power with the H or F series as well. There's a reason why Bisimoto uses an F22A in his record-breaking drag Insight.

Good luck on the build. Yes you can use the stock accord ecu with the immobolizer delete box. If you just plan on keeping the motor stock. If you plan to build it up then you will need K-pro.The swap is becoming a lot cheaper then what it use to be. Have fun.

i think a good reason to do the k swap is for the technology it has. if you've ever been around them, then you would know that they are like built motors from the factory. they can handle abuse and they respond to bolt-ons like no other honda motor.

they way the motor makes power is awesome. the cam is adjustable +50 by the ecu. you can be going 30mph in 6th and step on it and it will pull. look at the torque curve on dyno's for k series it stays flat across the rpm.

the way i see it, doing the swap to be unique would be one of my very last reasons for doing it. later.

IMO i dont like having to swap a motor to make power, its like swapping a BNR series into an S15 i've seen it done but its bleh i get more amazed of people pulling high 300's on an F22A or high 400-500's on an H22.
To me getting a different engine is like saying imma get a dick implant cus i dont know how to handle mine, (an H22 on a CB is more along the lines of a girl getting a boob job, fun to look at and play with)
Don't get me wrong though, if you want to do it, and can do it then by all means go for it! but its not unique lol

1. F22 and H22 cb's are like hookers in vegas, they are everywhere and go easily in our cars

2. Um how many k series u have in your hood?? None in my neck of the woods, be like gettn ur dick sucked in church, ya alot of ppl think about it but few have accomplished the feat.

So with that said the k is alot more unique than the f or h cause there are only a handful of ppl willing to put that much effort and cash into their cars. Im one of the few
