Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    k swap time

So I was thinking about doing a mild build on my f22 using a bisi cam, cam gear and valve springs. H23 manifold and p12 ecu paired with a bisi header. Add a 06-09 civic Si muffler and my dd would be complete.

Now for the problem. I want to do a k swap asap! No one around here has a k swap anywhere plus it would be something not everyone is willing to tackle. Now i've sourced mounts, axles, motor, but im stuck with finding a harness that will work or a piggy back harness for the ecu. Any suggestions on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated. And if there is a suggestion for which k motor would be best to use and why. I was gonna use the k24a4.
I wake up in the morning and piss excellence!

A mild build f22 with a p12? dude thats not a good idea, use a p28 and tune it with hondata s300....

And yes there has been several people on here with K swaps....
and to be honest bro, its gonna be expensive...its easier if you just swap a an h22 built, or boost....or build your f22 and boost it!

Best to get kpro. There are some free basemaps on the hondata website to get you running and when you start modding you will already have what you need for a tune. As for the motor you want the accord k24 cause thats the one they make the mounts for.

turbo h22 for the vtec. F22 for shits and giggles and can also get plenty of power. Kpro will be reliable but ehh can only go but so far with the power.

The K series can make TONS of power... but for the price of having a bone-stock K series in your car, you could have a 400whp turbo H22 or F22.

IMO, the point of the engine is to move the car. How often do you pop your hood to show off what you have under there? How often do you plan on doing it with the K?
I take far more enjoyment in DRIVING my car, than showing off what's under the hood. That's just me, though. I have an H22... Yes, it's "the way to go"... but you know what? When it breaks, parts are easy to find, and help is even easier to find!

When I got my H22 in 2003, I was the only one around here to have that done. The thrill of being original lasted about 45 seconds at a meet. The thrill of driving my car with that engine has satisfied me for the past 8 years. I overpaid for my swap (and the labor to put it in.) In all, it cost me about $4000. That's about half of what you're going to spend getting the K to work properly, most likely.

And why is this not in the Swaps section where it belongs?
