Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

some of your auto lovers have to see the light. auto is good for traffic, thats it. it sucks gas more than manual. shifts quicker, but when it shifts it goes down to 3k or less and starts accelerating. on manual, if you shift right, you will still be making power, because when you shift, it hits around 3.5k-4k and your off. i drove both auto and manual accords. the manuals are faster period. why do you think i went manual? i could'of stuck with the auto w/ the turbo, but it will be much slower and in the end ill be replacing a transmission.

a clutch simply makes the engine have contact with the transmission. stage clutches grip harder on the flywheel, making the car react faster when racing.

autos suck period and im glad i went 5spd.

btw $600 in a manual tranny will get you a good clutch and lsd. 600 in a auto will get you a torque converter and extra money to start saving up for a lsd. i bet you a million dollars 2 h22s with both lsd, one manual, one automatic. the manual will take the auto in the long run. cus manual got an extra gear. autos are good for launching. set the engine to 2,500 rpm and hold the brakes, green light, full traction. manual set it to 2,500 rpm and hold the brakes, green light, little loss of traction, then in 2nd your in the power band and you just smoked the auto.

$600 will not get a good clutch and LSD. It will get a good clutch and flywheel (see Bisimoto). An LSD is going to put you back about $1000 for a good one.

If you're worried about losing boost in a manual between shifts, keep your foot down. Problem solved.

Anyone that prefers auto over a manual just doesn't know how to race with a manual transmission.

The OBX unit is a well copied unit. I plan on using one on my 400whp project.

You can get a quality clutch for less than 300.

This conversation is now going nowhere...

Jose, if you wish to start a new thread regarding a clutch and LSD, please do... as that's the only useful information anyone (including myself) has provided in the last 3 pages of this thread.
