Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

should have some answers pretty soon. Looks like Shadetreecustoms already has all of the parts (h22 crank and rods, dsm pistons), and an h22 head.....i'm so jealous. Anyways, he taking the dsm pistons to the machine shop pretty soon to mount them on the h22 rods, then he's probably going to have it all cryo'd then put it all together. This thing is going to be a beast. basically it's an iron sleeved h22 (G20 i guess), the bottom and top will be able to handle high rpms, and all of the parts should hold up pretty well to boost. Ok, i recently toasted my rings on my f22a6 turbo (i think i did at least) and i have new pistons and rings sitting around from my 1992 turbo eclipse... If these work, i will be very happy, as i wouldnt have to put alot of money into new rings and pistons...

but by the time you do the machine work to the pistons buy the pistons and buy the gasket you could just about buy a set of SPR pistons and all you gotta do is have the pistons pressed on the rods to each his own and like i said it was and is a great idea and i love it simply because its doing something off the wall but it gets real involved and can run the dollar signs way up just my 2 cents and ive already had the work done on an old piston so i know how much itll cost me to get it done

yeah but still if you know someone who has a machine shop it might not cost a thing for the machine work. Still need to see what this experiment would do...

would aftermarket F22 pistons (like aries or something) work with the H22 crank and rods? i dont see why not but i want to make sure..i really want to have something like that done

interesting point . . . i didnt think of the fact that machine work would need to be done to fit this actually
