Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    About Bisimoto Exhaust Header

To get the most out of the Bisimoto exhaust header, how necessary do you think it is to also install a larger (diameter) catback exhaust? I don't want the sound that comes with these aftermarket, performance exhaust systems, but I also don't want to spend $800 or more on a Bisimoto header to find that I won't get the most out of it because of the back pressure from my stock exhaust system.

    Thoughts?

read my post called "exhaust theory" it will give you a lot of insightful info, there are certain mufflers you can use that wont give you that deep or loud of tone

Good luck and I hope this helps
i dunno if i would call these gains "minimal" with the Bisimoto header..

save your money on bisi header, and get a turbo setup.
Costs a smidgin more but better results.

          ^ this
is true, only reason you would really wanna go with the bisi header is if you are trying to go all-engine

Larger is not always better, keeping the optimum exhaust pipe temps and maintaining velocity is what you need to look at. Does your Bisi header have any sort of megaphone or is it just straight pipe from the collector back?
