ok so i just finished swapping in my jdm h22 i scored from hmotors. motor started up first try. checked the codes and fixed them. had two plugs backwards. no check engine light checked it no codes but still no vtec? need help bad

Operating temperature and oil pressure do indeed play key roles in VTEC. It won't activate without both being within the required levels. VTEC also won't work in neutral, if you're trying to rev the car up while it's sitting still.

Did you wire up vtec correctly? If so vtec doesnt kick in hard its smooth engagement. You will hear it but not feel it to much.Comment

Took the car for a drive today. Let it warm up checked oil level everything was good. Car feels good , but not sure if my vtec is hitting. I have no trouble codes. I feel a difference once it gets to 4500 but is that my vtec or my secondaries opening?Comment
