    Coolant problem

Okay I've done a good bit of work on my cb this year replaced

    Radiator
    Bled coolant
    Thermostat
    2 of the 3 sensors
    Lower rad hose
U shaped hose in the back of the engine behind the thermo housing
    I run pre mixed coolant

But for some reason I will fill up my resivor and its dry after a bit of driving and
I guess it took in more than it could and blew a hose on my oil cooler

I don't want anymore pressure blow out's what can I do to prevent this and looking under the cap in the rad with car at temp what's a full system

1 just over the fins in the rad
2 at the neck of the rad

    Thanks

Im going to say the neck. The car should only take as much as it needs. Sounds like u just have lots of worn hoses

When was the last time you replaced the radiator cap?

It should be at the neck of the rad, nearly overfilling.

      Did you burp it correctly?

Cap was replaced when I did my Radiator after my smog shop blew it up.....
the other day one of my hoses on my oil cooler punctured (as i stated above and is now replaced) So I am checking to see if there is difference's each check It just eats all my coolant out of the resivor each time I fill it between min and max so I don't over fill my system
and yes its bled "meaning i opened the port on my thermostat and waited for a constant flow to eliminate any air bubble's"

Are you getting mixed fluids/smoke in the exhaust at all?

Often times pressure issues in the coolant system are related to a bad head gasket.

Check your compression and make sure you are chasing a problem that can be solved first.

When the gasket goes bad, the compressed air from the cylinder can go into the coolant jackets and cause abnormal issues with pressure in your coolant system.

Just something to think about. Seems like you are chasing a gremlin here, good luck man!

I'm praying not on the head gone ...... I will get a compression test done soon. I don't have anything abnormal in my oil, trans oil, or any color diffrent than green in my antifreeze. I will post up after the compression test is done .

                smell the coolant for combustion.

                  yeah this works sometimes.

Im now saying for sure thats whats going on either, I just thought I would mention it as food for thought.

Seems like you are chasing a gremlin here, and so thats why I mentioned it.

                  Best of luck!

If you do not want any more blow outs replace any other coolant hoses you haven't already. Any factory hoses are 20 years old and in my opinion should be replaced every 10 years. Also fill it up to the neck with the bleeder valve open until its a constant stream out the nipple.
