    traction bars

I've been looking to get new headers for my h swap with that I was gonna go ahead and get a traction bar. What's a good brand? And do they really change that much in performance?

Only one out there is innovative. It's meant for the 4th gen prelude but fits the cb chassis without modifications.

If you want more room for exhaust in your engine bay, less wheel hop, and more front end stability, then a traction bar is for you. A member on here was selling the Innovative bar a couple of months ago, along with a ton of excellent stuff.

Chances are youll need one too for any amount of decent clearance with a performance header, unless you know someone who can weld and you notch and pocket the front subframe.

And if you're doing that much work, why put a factory beam back up there?

Also, we're all hoping that ESP comes back. But they've taken time off since September. Anybody know if they even answer emails?

I've sent them half a dozen emails over the past few months and have not heard from them yet.

do you know if it "replaces" the front tq mount like the esp one does?

I like the look of this more than explicit's. Are you 100% on this bro cause I may actually invest in one.

^do some searching but I've also heard of people using the factory 92-96 prelude front crossmember because it takes up less room and it's stiffer, supposedly. Which would mean an aftermarket piece would be a go. I don't have any personal experience though.

If you went that route you'd have a more solid OEM mount up front, too.

The traction bar also makes dropping the transmission out a lot easier with all the clearance and not sure if AF_1132 stated it but it also helps with torque steer. I think it was a good investment personally.

I also emailed ESP multiple times over the last few months and have not gotten one reply from them. So not sure if they will ever come back.

Glad I got my ESP one while I did. I love it. Im not sure on the torque mount for the innovative one... Mike1357 just installed one on his CB, by the pictures it does not look like there is one present.

Here`s a link to his MRT.. Pics on last page http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthre...146218&page=30

DunCan is correct, there is no specific mount for a front dog bone on the Innovative bar. There is however provisions for the center cross member (the one that joins the front and rear sub frames with 5 14mm bolts) and I'm sure a bracket could be made to bolt there. That or you could have someone weld tabs on to the bar. I'm happier with the design of the innovative bar than I would have been with the ESP bar. Specifically the strut rod design I feel is better and more solid.
