    PS reservoir replacement

Since I cannot find a PS reservoir for our cars that is brand new I thought about going with a ebay one. But there is the issue of the line connections. First I'd like to be able to put this where I want but can someone tell me where the reservoir needs to be? I've read a lot about it having to be lower than the pump or near the pump, etc. The fluid hose leading to the PS pump is lower than the pump itself so obviously this is not a gravity fed pump?

    - what do the 3 connections on the reservoir represent or is fluid coming or going in them?
    - can I use any type of rubber hose with the reservoir?
    - can the hoses by of any length?
    - can i put the reservoir in any location, like far from the PS pump?

I'm thinking that only the bottom hose has fluid leaving the reservoir, going to the pump. The other two are inlets to the reservoir. And if this is the case does it really matter what order they are in or where they are on the reservoir (see ebay picture)?

If you really want a new one (yours broken or leaking?); it is still available from Honda according to Majestic (www.hondaautomotiveparts.com) for $54 plus shipping. I believe I have one in my stock of parts; should also be available at almost salvage yard.

I'm in Canada and while I can get one there or from torontohondaparts.com the total will be over $100. So looking at doing a relocation anyways and just seeing who knows this knowledge.

A tuner mechanic I know told me that it is gravity fed. But the fluid has to be high in the reservoir for the feed to work and that the other smaller lines are return lines. So technically I could put the reservoir anywhere. I think.
