I wanted to paint my valve cover wrinkle textured green. AS close ot arcadia green as i could find. NO such luck as vht doesn't make a green. I have checked some other places like rustoleum but not high heat. I might just do wrinkle black or leave it bare polished aluminum if i can't find a textured green to match. Anyone know?

Your best bet is to get it powder coated. They can add texture and pretty much do any color.~Nick~

I just had one powder coated candy blue for my Element. They (at least the guys I've used) can be a bit persnickety about the oil that may still be in the baffles.

Photo added above. I also had an F22 cover done in gloss black - haven't installed it yet. Edit: Opened Ruby's hood the other day - I guess I did install it!
Persnickety = showing my age?
They electrically charge the part to attract the powder. I did have it hot tanked before having it coated. The single color coat was $75, which included removing what was left of the original coating.Last edited by Fleetw00d; 04-06-2020, 11:03 PM.90 LX 4dr 5 spd 396,014 (sold 1/1/2022) - MRT: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=201450

I would do a test piece to be sure, but you might get away with painting the piece with black wrinkle paint first then painting that with the exact green you want. It won't be as wrinkly as if it was just one layer, but it is certainly cheaper than powdercoating.
