Ignitor...you said you wasn't getting spark right?
change the Ignitor inside the distributor.
OR...
just get a new distributor..and make sure you dont strain the wires on the distributor plug ( strain = pulling/stretching ...trying to get the distributor unplugged )
no spark...how did you test to see if you was getting spark?
Coil / Ignitor MORE THAN LIKELY!
take off the cap...and have a friend crank it...if the rotor ISNT moving...you my friend have some work to do ( timing belt is broke...POSSIBLY have bent valves )
BUT..if the rotor is moving..timing belt is fine
these are what I would suggest:
* check your timing
* change the ignitor
OR..
* Change the entire distributor
NOTE:
IF YOU HAVE AN EXTERNAL COIL...get a new coil.
so to check first ...
COIL
then..dig into the distributor! ( if you're not getting spark )
These Engines are EASY to work on.......
its just having money for the parts
