What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.
You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

12amps DC, is about 150 watts (12 x 12 = 144), if the alternator is pumping out 14volts, that could be up to 172.8 watts. Thats what the inverter would possibly max out at. The conversion is not very efficient from DC to AC

So your losing a minimum of 8% up to around 15% due to the conversion. Or out of a max of 12 amps, your losing up to 1.8amps to innefficiency, so really you have 10.2 amps available at 12v/14v so 122.4 to 142.8 watts of available power maximum load on the inverter/circuit. so if i want to charge my evo 4G would it be faster to use the wall charger using a power inverter? or would it be the same as just plugging my cable into a usb outlet in my cigarette lighter?
