That's an Upgrade! You going to enjoy it a lot. I remember when I used to have the 9800GTX+ and upgraded to ATI 5800HD OC series. Game play was like butttahh.

Sweet man! I need an upgrade. I only have the 480 in my laptop. But then again my laptop is old as shit.

Geoff, you're going to love it (if you aren't a super graphics fanatic), I have the same exact card, and it has an excellent price/performance point that I am more than pleased with.

Did you get some free games with the purchase? Amazon offered Assassins Creed: Black Flag and Tom Clancy's Blacklist with mine, $200 for the card and $100 in games, what?!?

Microcenter online said something about free games. I'll have to look at my receipt. I bought it in store and there was no mention of it.

I was in the middle of a game of Civ 5. Towards the 1900s the game started slowing down (Maps type is always huge. I build until there is no more space).
Put this card in and I've gone through 3 new games with no issues.
It's the same size as the old one (I was worried it'd be bigger). No extra noise.
It might even be quieter, but I can't tell.

I bought it with Youtube money to assist with video renders.
I can't really tell if it's an improvement, but I can HDMI out to my TV, so that's nice.

I tested it during a render. Render on the TV and 1080p video on my monitor.



Sorry about the size. That's a 39" TV paired with a 21" monitor.

Geoff, go to Nvidia's website and register the card, that should entitle you to the free games, AFAIK the promo is still ongoing.

I bought this for my pug mix, he won't get in it. I woke up the next morning to find this.



The hole in the center is about 10" across. The staffy managed to fit his feet and snout in the bed and just crushes the outside. He's been in it ever since. I laugh every time I see him in it.
