You'll still only receive a max of what was taken from you in the first place though right?
Lets say for the year 2009, you were taxed $3500.00. So the MAX you will get back on your tax return will be $3500.00, right?
Not necessarily, alot of people qualify for many credits such as earned income credit, tuition credits, etc that will give you back more than you paid in during the year. For instance, my wife and I combined paid in about $600 but we're getting back $1350 because of some credits. Using the online tax software helps find these credits and maximize your return.
