How the wang-doodle am I going to fix this?? Radiator Core...

So I was drilling out spot welds and drilled just a little too far and pushed the drill bit into the radiator core. One of the passages got torn and the fins got bent obviously. How can I fix the passage...other than buying a whole new radiator. That's a brand new $200 aluminum radiator and I don't want to drop that money again if I don't have to.

you can try to solder it.
it might be hard to fill, but its worth a shot.

you know, just put a huge glob of fill there.

There are radiator repair shops, you could try taking it to one. If it was my own, I wouldn't trust my investment to a quick fix and just bite the bullet and get a new one. I know what it's like, I drill spotwelds almost every day. The pressure you used to bore through the metal...once that bit's through there's almost no stopping that forward momentum.

if you can get in there with a steady hand id either cut or move the bits of fins that look to be in your way and then solder the heck out of it .... i've fixed them before this way if that dosnt work you could try metal putty or that "quick weld " <-click putty that comes in a black tube but i'd save that as a last resort as its not as reliable as solder (not that solder is 100% relabel even if done correctly )

lol *edit* i was reading the uses that quik steel claims to be effective at and one of them caught my eye
        Gas tanks
        Radiators
        Engine blocks
        Intake manifolds

        Battery cases
        Gaskets
        Stripped bolt holes
        Mirror mountings
        Plastic grills

            Agreed.
They will fix it for a decent price, and do a professional fix.

So would I go in with a propane torch and some plumbing solder then?

I saw JB Weld mentioned...how well would that work....

Only problem with doing warranty is the fact that I have had this for about 3 or 4 months. And it is not an Accord radiator so I don't think yours would fit bro.

One other suggestion would be to use a spot weld cutter (I have one that looks like a small hole saw). You only cut through one thickness of metal, so you don't run the risk of damaging things behind what you're cutting (unless you go too far!).
