Its usually nothing since the CDC can contain it. Just start to be concerned when they start quarantining folks, shutting off the water supply and setting up shop in your area for longer than usual periods of an extended stay. I bet this was pulled from a third world country

I LOL when an idiot on my facebook made the following post-

"We need to close the goddamn boarders already. ISIS has brought EBOLA HERE"

      His misspelling not mine.

      HAHA.

      People are fucking stupid.

      What do I personally think?

Maybe if we had NOT entered Iraq and Afghanistan, and instead focused all that money and manpower on eradicating Ebola in that part of the world, we'd be 4 things right now-

      1. Better liked in the world
      2. ISIS would either not exist or not be as intent on Western destruction as they are now
      3. Not have Ebola in TX.
      4. Not be mourning 5000 servicemen and women who gave their life defending freedom when it's obvious certain entities are not interested in freedom and certainly not our freedoms and probably never will be.

All I can do is shake my head.

I will just stay on the topic of Ebola so if this thread goes sour I only have to fight one battle today. Been having a pretty severe migraine the last 2 days now.

For one. The first patient diagnosed with Ebola in the U.S. went to the emergency room last week, but was released despite telling medical professionals he had just returned from a trip to Liberia.

Dr. Anthony Fauci (director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases) even stated the hospital dropped the ball.

In a statement Wednesday, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital said the patient did not display symptoms that would suggest he needed to be admitted, but acknowledged his travel history wasn't “fully communicated” to doctors.

Tom Frieden (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director) stated "There is no doubt in my mind that we will stop it here."

I guess we will see how that goes.

There are dozens of things that threaten us as Americans as well as the whole world. Ebola is not the only possible doom we face. I'd rather die from Ebola than have a radical cut my head off. Just saying.

Personally, I'm not the least bit worried about Ebola. For one there is nothing I can do about it. And if it spreads I doubt I would get it. I have enough MRE's and bottled water to stay home for 14 1/2 months including my GF. Got all my bills coming out of my checking account each month. No need to leave home. Play some COD and watch some Netflix. See you all when the world is less populated.

Maybe more smart people will survive than dumb asses. And maybe next go around those intelligent people will spawn more intelligent people. And no Ralphie, I'm not referring to my generation. In fact, my generation seems to generally be almost as properly educated as the folks who are seniors in some ways. I could be wrong. But that's from my perspective. But I really do not want to get into that today.

As for this discussion on this forum, I hope Ebola get's contained and stomped out, things get better as a whole, and all of us here on CB7tuner stay unaffected by the negatives around us.

As long as they don't come to Atlanta...I hate when ppl freak out for no apparent reason or because of something they "heard."

Our CDC has some really fun stuff in the basement though.

Ebola's the least of our concerns. The police are more likely to kill you out here. I believe they are more deadly than H.I.V. but with with a hint of instant death not a slow one.

If this was a serious threat to everyone, and it really is not, we could develop a cure or atleast a vaccine in no time. How I see it no first world country has had to deal with Ebola on a masdive scale so no real money has been put aside for it.

An example would be HIV, before it hit the US barely any money was used to fund a vaccine/cure and it seemed to be an impossible fight. It became a thing in the US and there was a lot of funding for it. We got to the point of ot being surviveable and now funding has gone down since it is not really an issue for us at home.

That low percentage of surviveability could be made much higher if some thought would be put into it. And that is the small small small chance you get infected. We will be fine.

There is a cure for aids but they aren't going to release it since there is so much money being invested into the experimental cocktails which keeps the money coming in unless your rich. Take a look at Magic Johnson think about it.

They are saying Ebola has a non-typical chance of mutating with each victim it infects. Meaning it is more likely than other virus. If it mutates and becomes airborne then there is a threat. Is it bullshit? Hell, idk. I still don't really care though. Nothing to worry about. Yet anyways. And I doubt there ever will be.
