That car is supposedly insanely unreliable. Spends more time NOT running than it does running.

Yeah I've seen that before....but never gets old. That kicks SO much ass! I had always planned on doing a V8 RWD CB7 someday. Something a little more streetable than that tho, I was thinking more along the lines of an LS1 with a T56 6spd and IRS....awe yeah!

I'd take a LS1 powered car over my CB any day. Sooooo much faster, with the potential of attaining numbers CB's can't reach for less than a H22 swap.

My friend Tony's 94 T/A has over 110K on it and it runs fine.

You obviously have never driven an LS1 powered F-body, GTO, or Corvette....therefore, you wouldn't understand. That engine is pure exstacy.... *drool* And like AccordWarrior stated, the LS1 has the potential for hosepower and torque that Honda owners can only dream of. I don't think anything short of a turbo, bottle-fed H22 could hang with one of those beasts in stock trim. I love Hondas, but you gotta bow down to the almighty American pushrod V8.

and im a bit on the tipsy side..but did the 94-97 impalas have LS1s or LT1s?...i still want one of those as a pussy mobile...thats a 4dr with a purpose...

Auto trannies are the way to go with domestics. You can't possibly shift that much torque faster then fluid. The thing would be better with a glide instead of the turbo 400.
