looks like they actually spent the time to fix it up, and do a complete detailing. Polishing creme buff the exterior, whatever protectant on the interior. It probably was garage kept by a miserly owner since Day 1 with seat protectors on it. I would assume the pedal pads were replaced (something I look at to confirm mileage) but I'd be curious to see the drivers foot pad on the carpet and the shift knob, to see if they show any wear. They started with a nice clean example, and put some additional work into it, to get top dollar. Price reflects that, too..
I wonder if there is some psychology to these pristine old cars. I noticed many of them are DX or LX. People who sprung for the car but couldn't quite afford the bells and whistles, perhaps value the car more and take care of it? Wealthier people buying the EX/SE models have long since cycled them through their kids and onto secondary markets...?

Follow the link in the OP, there is a close up of the shift knob; the texture is worn smooth, but nowhere near rubbing out the numbers. Shift boot looks real good. I think my shifter at 391k is a lot more worn than that one.90 LX 4dr 5 spd 396,014 (sold 1/1/2022) - MRT: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=201450

BTW, have you looked into this ridiculous limitation on the number of pics that can be uploaded in a post?
I can understand the restriction when uploading to the server as it might be costly to host but why is it the same if I post hosted pics since these aren't occupying server space right?
