    GSR = done already.

    Well i was on my way to work this morning..and it was pouring like iv never seen before. i couldnt see 5 feet in front of me. all of a sudden i feel my car pull to the right really bad. i figured i just hydroplained. A few seconds later the engine sputters, i hear a "pop" and the car dies.

    So it looks like the engine is hydrolocked. I let it sit for about 10 min without touching anything, then i tried to start it. It started, but there is a knocking noise and its sputtering like crazy. Its also blowing pure white smoke out the exhaust.

    This all happend not even a mile from my house

    What should I do now guys? i guess im going to take the rest of the week off and try and see what to do. Iv heard of engines running fine after hydrolocking, im hoping thats the case. im going to get the car home, pull the plugs and try to get as much water out as possible.

    If that doesnt work, im going to rip the head off and see what the damage is.

    If there is a lot of damage..i HOPE its the pistons/rods. that way i have an excuse to replace them.

    Wish me luck guys...im on the verge of tears over here

    That sucks to hear man. Hope everything is alright. Id drain your oil and such and dry out as much as i can and maybe let the car sit out for a while and see if that kinda helps. Its been pouring here in taiwan like a mofo also so yea I know how much it sucks.

      Damn. Do you have a CAI or something down at the wheel well? How did something like this happen. This is horrible. I'm gonna do some research and get back to ya.

        Yes..the car had a CAI when i bought it. i guess i never really thought anything of it since i drove a turbo car with no filter for so long. i could have went through a river with that thing and not suck up water

          Looks like the best thing to do is let it sit

                  Thanks for the support guys....im still in shock about this.

                  Im hoping that the worst case seneiro is that i end up with somewhat built bottom end. I wont be able to turbo just yet becuase i cant afford it..but at least it will be built for later on.

                        Its still sitting on the side of the road right now...before i said it was a mile away..but it really wasnt anymore than a 1/4 mile away. I walked home...

                        IM going to let it sit for a few hours and then im going to go over and pull the plugs, crank it, and see what i get. Im hopeing it will have enough in it to get home so i dont have to tow it

                          So im reading that if you have full converage on a car, insurence will cover a hydrolocked engine.

                          I need to find a stock intake ASAP...i wonder if the accords will fit?
