    H22 - or S2000?

I work at a honda dealership in canada, i'm 18, still live at home,

by march of 2007 i'll be turning 19, and i really want an h22 in my accord,
But i could also get a good deal on a used S2K thru my work. big down payment and take it from there.

How difrent would insurance be? probley alot!!

But should i just get the H22??
Or should i get an S2000 with low K's??

    Tell me yoru input ?

    thanks guys!!

It depends on what you want, really. The S2000 is a sports car. The CB7 is a family car.
A CB7 with an H22 will be cheap to own and insure, fairly cheap to maintain, and cheap to modify. However, it'll still look like an Accord. It'll still be FWD, and it'll still handle like an Accord.
An S2000 will be expensive all around. Parts aren't as cheap. Maintenance isn't as cheap. Insurance isn't as cheap. It will handle better than a CB7 with minor suspension work. It will have more power than the H22. However, it won't be as practical in the snow and rain, it has a soft top, and you won't be able to carry anything but yourself and a passenger.

Weigh your priorities, and understand that you'll be paying for the s2k for the next few years... If you can afford it now, look into the future and make sure you can afford it then! It's an amazing car, but aside from being the impressive roadster that it is, does it meet your requirements for a car (assuming you'll be giving up the CB7 if you get it)?

Also, for the price of an s2000, you can easily have a 600hp H22 (then again, do you want to be paying for THAT for the next few years? )

are you getting an s2000 for some street dreams..its not a practical car....are you thinking bout long term...when i hear s2000 i think of weekend car...not daily driver...doubt its great in snow...smaller car if your traveling somewhere is a problem..insurance is high as shit...rof your 18 dude...keep the cb7..get your money right.....youll be paying off that s2000 for awhile

i would wait to buy the S2K later down the road, i know how you feel at the moment...i'm 19, i work as a Tech @ a Honda Dealership here in the states, i want my accord to go fast, but i also want a new car via '05 S2k, '07 Ridgeline, or '07 V6 Accord 6spd....but i know its going to be cheeper and more fun to make my accord fast now then go out and buy a new car @ 19, spend everything i make on it and not be able to make it fast till sometime after i've paid it off...id rather make it fast, have fun with it, then get something new and repeat the cycle....

You honestly expect people on this site to recommend anything over a CB7?

stick with the cb and prevent ur self from getting ur self into something u can get out of later on. keep the cb learn from it and make it a sleeper.

Thanks for all the help guys, you all are on the same page as one another.

IF i went through with the S2K, It would be my fun car, but somewhat daily driver, i would keep the accord, for winter mostly.

I think the H22 is more in favor, but the S2K would be paid of in two years,

                ***I would buy a pre-owned S2000

                Thanks again guys,

i'm only 18, like some of you guys said, maybe i should wait afew years.

I'm not really saying anything against the s2000. It's a wonderful car. However, if you're concerned about insurance costs, it's probably not a wise decision. Insurance will be more. Maintenance will be more. Mods will be more (unless you want to leave it stock...). Fuel will be more. Tires, brakes, and other wear items will be more.

I say save up for the H22. Not out of CB7 loyalty, but out of practicality. Once it's paid for and in the car, you're done. No more payments. If you get a good engine, it'll be as reliable as your car is now... or more. The only additional cost (if you get a JDM engine) is premium gas. Once you have a job making some good money, get the s2k for a fair weather car

                      its called smart douche bag

hes only 18...why would getting an s2000 be smarter?..sure its a great car...but hes 18..hell be paying higher insurance and paying it off...why not save up money or find a cheaper alternative to the s2000..if hes keeping 2 cars then gop for it..but as a daily driver the s2000 isnt that great.these are words from my neighbor who just bought one a few months ago..its a fun weekend car

Well I like the s2k but you have to do what is right for your bdget i was in your situation only bigger though. I was in a position of gettin an lancer o6 evo se it would have been nice then i though about downpayment on a srt4 then i said fuck it i already have an h22 why not just boost the next cb7 i got and i did now im happier than ever. But since you have no h22 i would go with the h22 its more thrills. And you wont need much to maintain it which saves you money. You dont ever wanna be in a position that you cant be able to just get your way out of.

The s2k is more maintenance =more money and the insurance and your only 18 insurance will not go easy on you. Payments is one thing no really so much wory its the insurance that will mess you up.you gotta have money aside for yourself what your gonna eat what new clothes your gonna buy how will yu take your girl/girlfriends to the movies little thing like that will cost you even more. Trust me go with the h22 and be happy with it. the s2k doesnt pull away from me i beat one with my type s on the way coming back from the jersey meet after i missed my exit when 2.2azul and gloryaccordy was flagging me down with their highbeams lol

                            Thats a good point.
