I don't think there's a problem with this board, honestly. I wouldn't let the BOARD go bad. I just don't like the actions of some members.
There are those members that cause trouble for the sake of causing trouble. There are those that think they know EVERYTHING. There are those that take offense to the slightest question to what they say. There are those that think what they have is better than what everyone else (which is funny, because we all have roughly the same thing!) That's all nothing new. We deal with that.
However, I'm seeing a LOT of racial slurs. I'm seeing a LOT of "***", "***", "homo" stuff.
I don't like it. Things will change. Either people will grow up, or people can go elsewhere. I will be actively (and without warning) banning, silencing, and possibly DELETING members that decide to break the rules that I have made. IP bans will be issued (I know they can be bypassed, but I'll just ban every IP and name I come across once I learn... whatever...)
If you donated to the site, I thank you. If you've done something to help me in one way or another, I thank you. If we've hung out, cool. That doesn't mean you aren't subject to the rules. I've banned my own moderators, and I've even banned myself. Trust me, I have no problem banning anyone.
I am only one person. I have a handful of dedicated moderators, but on a forum with a few thousand active members, that's not much. So, if people can't take it upon themselves to be mature, I'll have to take some more extreme measures. Sorry to be a dick, but if I offend you, you're probably part of the problem. If my actions irritate some people, good... anything that puts EVERYONE out will be a direct result of the actions of a few. I'm sick of showing respect to those that don't respect me. I won't feel bad pointing fingers when the time comes.
Yes. I'm pissed. I'm paying out of my own pocket to babysit and clean up worthless shit. If I happen to drive the member base of this site down to 200 people, fine. At least I'll know those 200 people will be able to hold an intelligent conversation.

i sincerely thank you deev. this site has been a blessing for me an my car, and usually without flaming.
i used to be a member of a couple paintball forums and all but one of them that i know of have turned to absolute shit. you can barely find a thread in ten that doesnt have some sort of flaming in it. this is probably due to the fact that the age range of most active paintball players is 12-20 or 21 and all they have to keep themselves entertained is to be a tough bitch behind a keyboard. as they get older, some of these kids dont know how to grow up, and dont. they spread to other forums and turn them to shit too just because thats what they're used to. its like a freaking cancer.
everyone needs to realize that everyone else has different tastes, different political views, different opinions, different races, different sexual orientations, different areas of residence, etc. bashing one of these just because you have/like/are another is completely pointless.
i know i am not completely innocent myself, but i often find myself trying to respond to flaming and such. then i just hit the back button and realize that it just isnt worth it.

wow....I know I'm an asshole sometimes also but majority of the time I dont flame, only when i find it necessary. There have a been a bunch of bullshit threads followed by tons of flaming which isnt really good and it seems to be the same members most of the time. I also think its times for us members to start acting a little more mature

Wow this is deeper that what I thought it would be..... I see all side of this... It has to be the everone to make the change not just a few.... There are some people on here that just look for some BS to say to someone else... Don't know why that is, but from what I have seen thats how its been going down.... I love the site and get a lot of info on what to do with my ride.... I just hope things will get better....Comment

I'm with deev on this one. How else can we represent a site and introduce new people to it (the lost ones), if we have this kinda stuff going on. If you need to say it, then use the PMs. Everyday new potential members look at the site to join, and if they see it LOOKING like the other sites, then they are gone. And you never know, that might be the person with a book of knowledge, or the right connections to locate parts, etc. Let's keep it clean. CB7Tuner FTW!!!Comment
