ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

cd5 type ones go pretty low.. i was slammed before and they still had room to go lower.. and for 520 bucks for type ones brand new is not bad at all.. you just cant beat that price

And i agree with deev, i thought about getting type 2's because you can adjust the dampening and the height as opposed to the type ones which you can only adjust the height

I ended up getting the type ones because i daily the cb.. no point in getting something that isnt gonna be used for what they were built, which in my opinion were made for weekend track

type ones give you a nice ride and plenty of height adjust-ability but i still wish i would have bought type twos. Only because i wanted a stiffer ride

Update about the Tein Basics mentioned earlier in the thread. I was in the process of purchasing a set, but almost every distributor that I contacted was out of them. So, to no avail I decided to go with F&F Types Ones.

I'll do a full review about a month after installation or so. If they are not up to my comfort standards, I'll sell them, pick up some SS's, and continue saving from there for my AMRs (please keep the wasting money comments away). I rather look at it as my personal R&D.

10+ lol my friend had them and it looked like he was on hydraulics with the blown shocks going over bumps....

Personally I love my Function & Forms. I think you can still get them for 550 shipped from weaksauce just ask for a Honda-tech discount.

I like a car at stock height. I respect someone that takes the time to do things right, and laugh at the ricers that have to do it ASAP, as cheap as possible. Especially with suspension. Cheap suspensions are dangerous, and anyone who would rather look "good" (I think slammed cars on blown shocks look idiotic) than be safe is an absolute moron.

I've always rocked stock height. Both of my accords have been stock height. Hell my wagon even has OEM shocks and springs.

I'd like to lower it but the cash just isn't there. I'd rather get a set of Koni yellows on OEM Honda springs than half-ass it with cheap parts.

And as Deevergote has said, do NOT cheap out on suspension parts - your life (and whoever rides in your car and whoever drives around you) depends on it.

                                Describe peoples idea of cheap?

I took the economical route with F&F Type I IMHO, only for the bigger goal that's ahead. By the way, you can lower your car by an inch if you desire with the F&F Type I. I figure my car will look and handle good with about a ~1.5"-1.75" drop in the front, and a ~1.25"-1.5" drop in the rear (especially with the '04 Acura TL OEM boys). I'll post pictures.
