ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Same deal as your crate motor thread.
You'll need to build it yourself.

Though I do vaguely remember an H22 option (which fits F22) that I think was by Quaife.
Though the price tag was around 10k

IMO, the best is Level 10 . I have dealt with them many times . For a fully built tranny of top quality , its not cheap ...They also provide parts as well as O.H.'s( over hauls )Give them a look.

A man that keeps looking back can't see whats in front of him.

Or maybe email Mfactory or Saenz?

Shorter gears will only make you go faster, f22 isn't a good choice if staying with stock gearing. You could also run taller tires to change the gearing.

^what he said! if anything i would think smaller tires for more rotations so what do you mean taller tires... as for the gears im just used to the f22 i know it like the back of my hand. if the f22 is no good for high comp motors and hard use also as my daily driver then ill look into the h22 i hear a lot of good things about them but i know theres a noticeable difference in gearing

Larger tires will give you more MPH in each gear, same as smaller tires will give you less. It's a simple way of adjusting gearing, been used forever. It will also throw your speedo off. If your interested in learning more about gearing etc check out this site-

I meant if you think the h22 has too short of gearing for you, then run larger tires because it will be a lot better than a f22 tranny. F22 is made for long gearing and good mpg, not performance.

We've let you slide twice now... but have you bothered reading the rules? Especially the one regarding "where can I find" threads...

The gearing has nothing to do with the compression or power output. it has to do with the engine's powerband. You want gearing that will keep you in that powerband. Long gears with an engine such as the H22 will land you under the H22's power curve when you shift, causing you to be slower as you rev back into the powerband.
The tires are essentially the last "gear" in the chain of things.

It really seems to me that you know very little, and you're VERY interested in simply buying "built" components for your car. To be quite honest, doing it that way is going to cost THOUSANDS... a fully bought "built" cb7 is going to easily cost $15,000... maybe more. And you'll still have an old car that will have plenty of other parts in need of repair, maintenance, or upgrade. Do it ALL, and I'd be surprised if you come in under $25,000.
My advice: if that's the way you want to do it, that $25,000 and buy a slightly used performance car. Nissan Z, STi, Mazdaspeed3, GTI, Camaro, Mustang, etc...
For the money you're going to spend on a CB7 full of pre-built performance parts, you can get a far more capable and modern car. If you're truly dedicated to the platform, that is admirable... but you should consider taking that dedication a step further by actually getting involved in your own build.
