Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

So turns out that the oil inlet thread in the 14b is not 7/16th like i thought it was. I know a few people on here were having problems with their feed lines leaking and thats because of the thread pattern on their fitting. The correct thread pitch and bolt size for my application was 12mm by 1.25 thread pitch. Im sure this is the same for ALL dsm turbos being that every bolt on that car is metric. even the stealthmode oil line kit was 7/16th... weird.
so if anyone wants to know I rigged up the -4 steel line to a few adapters:
    Russell (edelbrock) part # 614806
    Earl's (Holley) part # 9892064ERL
    Earl's part # 991945ERL
These things are not cheap but for me it was the quickest and seemingly best way to go.

    Got my charge pipes done:

I had the dsm pipe handy that begins the charge pipes so I cut off the flange and bolted it to the turbo. then I determined where the pipe should point and marked its orientation on the flange. then i had it welded in that position as well as a 2.5inch to 2inch reducer put on the end. turned out well i think:

all i need now is to hook up my A/F gauge and install Midnights' chip by the way, does anyone here know for sure what wire to run the air fuel gauge to on the o2 sensor????? I have heard both white and green but does anyone know for sure?

so nobody of the hundreds of members on this forum have any idea what wire is the "signal" wire on the o2 sensor? I think it may be the D14 pin on the ecu side but what about under the hood... like on the actual sensor. i have a black, green, and two identical whites.

yeah, true about the stealthmode kit and having the wrong fitting. I went to napa and got the right fitting for 83 cents. I need a 90 elbow now though. I can go read my zeitronix directions for the o2, it lists all the wires and their colors.

just look for my safc install thread on here. It has the location for the power wire, ground, rpm, throttle signal, 02 sensor, and MAP.

edit found it...SAFC Wire Color ECU

Power - Pin A25 Yellow w/ black stripe
Engine RPM - Pin A21 Yellow w/ green stripe
Ground - Pin A26 Black w/ red stripe
Throttle signal - Pin D11 Red w/ black stripe
MAP - Pin D17 White w/ blue stripe
02 sensor - Pin D14...not sure of the color

yeah i actually got the first one today. just took longer than i thought for express shipping, oh well its here now! I started it up to check for leaks and it fired up right away it has a nasty idle and drops the rpms to like 50 and wants to die when coming off the gas but im assuming thats because of the fuel map mixup right Midnite?? anyway im looking forward to that second chip and takin it for a drive!!!

play with ur idle screw.. although it may be the map.. since when ur coming to a stop boosted cb7's seem to have a nasty idle drop (then it comes back up) move ur idle to like 800-900.. and see how that helps.. hey it may want to die but atleast it doesnt.. consider urself lucky.. lol.. most still havent figured out how to cure there dieing.. mrx says its voltage.. i dont believe so.. anyh00t.. adjust ur idle screw to raise the idle more..

my guess is the fuelmap.. my buddy [yardy on at] has that problem and he's untuned.

cool thanks for the input guys, ill mess with that screw when i get the other chip in if nothing changes.
WiKKeDV16: could you tell me where the idle screw is located and which direction is up and which is down??? My haynes is in the garage and i dont feel like hunting for it in a dark mess.

simple.. get on the passenger side of the engine bay.. and look on the top of the throttle body (next to that red hose) and ull see a slotted screw. turn it counter clockwise to raise ur idle.. go out and do this now bitch.. i wanna see if it helped
