Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    3" Stainless Exhaust...

I was thinking bout going 3" stainless turbo-back, but i'm worried bout raspness and loudness. Please vote what you would do and leave a opinion or suggestion...

Also, I forgot to mention to those who don't know my project, but I got a 14b turbo and already purchased a 3" stainless downpipe.

Keep stock 2" pipes so I don't have to worry bout rasp, loudness, nor cost of a new system.

I would do a 2.5'' down pipe to help with quick spool up and then 3'' after the downpipe to help with the top end

Cisco and I spoke of this online. Your concern of rasp can be addressed later on. 3" is best performace wise. You prolly wont reach full boost until just under 3k. You would need a ported and clipped turbo for 2k boost maddness...

you really only need to go as big as 3" if your lookin for sum hefty power... i doubt u would run into any restrictions runnin a 2.5" exhaust unless you pushin lyke 300hp or more.... i'm personally runnin a 2.5" dp temp into my stokk exhaust but will be runnin afull stainless 2.5" exhaust wen me and my boy get around 2 makin it... i'm also gunna add a remote cutout so this way, if i do ever crank up the boodt and need extra flow, which would really be on the track anyway, i'll jus run it open header.... plus you wont have 2 worry about any lagg in daily drivin or any type of raspyness of annoyingly loud exhaust... but thas just me....

id say its up too u.....like chronicboost said i dont think 2.5 is really restricting much unless ur making some real high numbers...soo if u wana sqeezzee out that the little more power with the 3in. or go 2.5 and not have to wory bout groundcleance is really up too u.
