    Upper and Lower ball Joints

So recently my car has decided that when turning it wants to squeel or sqeak
and I lifted it up and turned the tires side to side and my upper ball joint yet again another cheap ebay part seems to be causing the noise. Its just about 15 mo old but i'm learning quick that ebay is a wast of money on vital parts
i also wanted to know if when put together properly are the lower ball joints supposed to sit a bit justified pointing more to the shock or are they supposed to be strait up and down and what is a reputable replacement for at least the upper joints? and i have a question I don't want to really start another thread but obviously when a car pulls to a side when brakeing that means your caliper isn't working properly yet i am not sure of how to check the calipers and find out if one is bad, both when full pressure was applied didn't move and when letting off each was about the same force to move neither was easy to move at any point in my test (except with brakes completely off) I did both test by hand ?

    thanks

Pulling when braking does not necessarily mean there is a problem with the caliper. If there is a lot of play in your ball joints and other suspension parts, the wheel(s) could literally be pointing in different directions depending on whether you are accelerating or braking.

I had similar problems with aftermarket upper control arms; went back to OEM.

When you buy new ones look for some with grease fittings, that will stop your squeaking and they tend too last a bit longer. Provided there kept up with.

Alighnment done, bleed brakes done gresed around boots
Noise is gone between grease and water these few days
On brakeing it pulls to the left at 25 or higher its i figure about like changeing lanes but at slow speeds the pull is almost not noticeable, thinking about resetting the caliper's by pulling them off the rotors and compressing them as If you were changing the brake pads hopefully that fixes it now correct me if I'm wrong a pull to the left is the right caliper not performing very well or is it the left?

If it is pulling to the left (and it is a brake problem), then typically the left one is braking more than the right (whether the left is dragging more or the right is not applying correctly - need to check both). Did you actually pull the guide pins, clean, and lubricate them, or just shoot some grease around the ends? Make sure the pistons retract smoothly. If necessary, the calipers are not to difficult to rebuild, disassemble, clean, install new seals and boots. You might also use a scotchbrite disk on a drill to clean up the faces of the rotors and remove any glazing (I've done this with the car jacked up, running, in gear, to spin the rotor while I use the disk); can also be done to the face of the pads.

All that being said, if your ball joints are really making a racket, OEM might be cheaper and less hassle in the long run. On my EX coupe, the joints still seemed good a tight, but the boots were looking ugly; I just installed new boots and added some grease while doing it. Only source for boots alone is probably Honda, and they may not fit aftermarket ball joints correctly.

Okay thanks I may be able to pick up some Oem ones at the jy and repair the best of them. I cannot tell if I can grease the joints while there installed I rubbed the grease around the joints and the squeeking while turning at low speeds is still heard I looked into a set of uppers,Lower, tie

Do Not Get Wear Items From The Junk Yard!

Calipers you can get, but expect them to be frozen. Ball joints, just no, buy new.

2nd hand works on most but not all things. I would recommend new items for ball joints. However if your time and effort is less than the money at stake then try out used ball joints. Personally cost of time effort and a wheel alignment is enough to not consider used.

Honda rubbers and plastics are unlike any others, they are set and forget lasting at least a decade! Remember that next time you think the price is too high for plastic or rubber which looks just like another that LOOKS the same.

Ebay is just a means of selling but not necessary bad, just need to shop wisely from a reputable store or one that has quality suppliers. I tried TAS AUTO. I can only say its still good after a year, but thats no test when compared to an oem that lasts almost forever.
