Can you borrow an ECU to try swapping it out? Have you verified that your cam is spinning?

      Physics causes this . . .

It tries to pull a little? - , It should pull a whole lot, I'd suggest replacing your battery first . . .

Starting the car in gear is a bad thing. This is why they put the clutch switch and neutral switch in...

I mean with the clutch in. I've never started a manual car in gear WITH the clutch in and had it move on me. it does have a brand new clutch that I didn't install but the guy who did is a mechanic.i think the clutch cable needs to be adjusted.

I also have 2 ecu's that I tried. one works for sure but is chipped for a 272 delta cam. but I ran it on my last motor for months. and the other is from a junkyard.

I think the check engine light stays when I've been doing this and I don't think it should.
            i'll check some things tonight.

It doesn't have a clutch cable.

Check the clutch master and slave for leaks, and re-bleed the system.
