    Water sound on startup

In recent weeks I've noticed a pouring water sound when I first accelerate.

It sounds a lot like you've got a half full gallon of water right by your head, and you're hitting the gas and it's swishing around.
I've cleared out all my water bottles and it's still there though.

I'm guessing heater core. Is that sound bad?

The sound of rushing/sloshing water is usually only audible when there is air in the lines. A fully closed and full coolant system shouldn't be making any sort of running water sounds.

You could try bleeding your coolant system....

Does your Accord have a sun/moon roof? There are drain tubes that could be clogged and holding water....

      10th anniversary. No sunroof.

I'll bleed it in the morning and see if it goes away.
When I redid my motor mount a few months ago I had some coolant leaking.
I thought it was the heater core again, but the leak stopped and I haven't lost any more.

Is your AC drainage hose clogged. You know all the water that collects in the black box where the evaporator core is. Behind the dash.

Currently it's full, but it's occurred through multiple fill ups.

My AC hasn't worked in a while. I'll check it though. Some salt might've gotten up there.

I filled and bled it. Took almost no coolant, maybe 1 cup worth.

Scared me the other day with these super cold temps.

Didn't start it for the day of -10 degrees.
The next morning I started it. Let it sit for 15 seconds before moving.

Got engine heat in a normal time, but didn't get any cabin heat.

Pulled over to turn around and had idle bounce.

Got back home, went inside to warm my hands. Came back out (15 minutes running total so far) to a small amount of heat.
Another 10 minutes and I had full heat back.

Bled it a few days later. Any suggestions?

Clogged heater core maybe? You should flush that bad boy out! With a clogged core it could also have air trapped in there that is causing the sloshing sound and slowing down the heat cycle??????
