Hi everyone, recently I've noticed as spring weather has begun to clear up snow, and turn to rain that my floor board on the driver side stays damp after a storm. I dried it really well with a wet vac, and after another storm my floor board is wet once again. Nothing significant but it is definitely damp, has anyone had any similar experiences? Im thinking of taking trim pieces off in the interior to get a better idea of where the leak could be entering the cabin, and having a friend spray a hose on the windshield, door, sunroof, etc. Also where do you guys buy your window moldings, and weatherstripping if in need of replacing or is that even possible still since are cars are aging? Thank you all ahead of time.

I had a leak between the windshield and the A pillar that would both drip out of the channel in the trim where the automatic shoulder belt runs down the inside of the A pillar and run further down the trim and end up on the floor. In my case, I wound up replacing the windshield because of the problem (and it had many pits and chips).
I also had a leak where the body seams come together at the left front corner of the windshield (under the black cowl panel and end seals). I used some auto body panel adhesive to seal this surface.90 LX 4dr 5 spd 396,014 (sold 1/1/2022) - MRT: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=201450

Thank you, I suspect its the windshield or trim around it as well, as the previous owner did a hack job of replacing some pieces. There is literally what looks like silicone applied in the corners. Ill be inspecting the windshield this weekend if the weather permits. Anyone else have any similar experiences or anything to add?

Here is a thread on my search for a water leak into the driver foot well.

You can also look at this thread for issues with rust on the windshield opening:

Had that same A pillar leak. Used an adhesive to seal it up. My windshield is still good, so i did not want to replace it.Originally posted by fleetw00d View PostI had a leak between the windshield and the A pillar that would both drip out of the channel in the trim where the automatic shoulder belt runs down the inside of the A pillar and run further down the trim and end up on the floor. I had a smaller leak but still made my carpet wet on the drivers side. After tearing the car apart, I found that the panel behind the mudflap had rotted and allowed water to get through. From the interior, the leak was right behind the fuse box located in the footwell. Found a similar issue on the passenger side just not as severe. Good luck!

Thank you all for sharing that information. I had a friend spray the car with a hose in various spots while i was inside, no visible leaking. We also tested the sunroof drains, and blew them out with compressed air, there working as they should. I removed the front mudflap on driverside, and wheel well lining. No rot, alot of dry dirt and leaves though. Ill have to look into the wiper cowl, however while looking under the car i saw a body plug under the driverside wasn't exactly flush like others, it also seemed really dry, and not covered by undercoating like the others. Im going to buy a can of undercoating, and spray over it. But i think my first steps ill check the cowl area, and remove the carpet to try to eliminate some guess work. Thanks again everybody
