it will only fit below the iab plate. It actually makes your runners longer, giving you more power. I just did this to my car the other day and i definitely noticed a nice little bump in aggressiveness. It is definitely more throaty at lower rpm's now as well. Only thing is now I have a vacuum leak somewhere...just gotta find that bitch.

As stated above, you need the two 90 prelude compressor bolts for the two end stud replacements. Your ac bolts only fit in three of the 5 holes.

you can find the correct thread and length for the bolts in the h23 upper plenum swap diy thread.

Can someone explain to me what this does? All I can see is that the air must now travel a longer distance to reach the combustion chamber... how does this give me any gains? Also, does it matter if the butterfly plates go above or below the spacer?

          Thanks.
click on the link in my sig and you'll see the numbers i put down on the dyno.

hmmmm, I should try this....b/c I've also got a 3" prelude CAI that might benefit from this mod as well. Does Bisimoto make the IAB gaskets outta that Phenolic Plastic stuff also? or is it just the IM gasket for the runners?

I would assume just where the runners mate to the head.

BTW, make sure you hondabond the three holes connecting the runners to eachother. I didn't do it, and it will result in a god awfully loud whistle at all rpms.

do you think this'll increase my mpg since it has more volume? I got all the supplies to do this 2 90' prelude compressor bolts and 3 CB7 compressor bolts along w/ the IAB plate.

And also, what are the chances of the JB weld getting too hot/breaking out from the IAB plate and getting sucked in through the intake runners?
