I have that same Pioneer deck in my subarulove it...

I couldn't find any pics of the rear speaker pods, what page should I look at?

I remember coming here long ago, but I can't believe I haven't been here since. Our cars have so much in common. If you were to wire tuck your bay and relocate your battery they would be identical. And I think you've convinced me to paint my calipers green....... hmm maybe.

And I'm 35 now and all I can say is DO NOT SELL!

I've thought about wire tucking it and moving the battery to the trunk, just don't have a garage to make it easier to do. Maybe this fall I'll work on a tuck...just too hot out right now!

Yeah, I've had that Pioneer deck since like '03 I think. Lol... Still works but I'll admit, I'd like to get a newer 1. Then again, I barely ever turn it on so why bother.

Not sure anymore about where I have speaker pod pics in here anymore, I'll look though. Are you referring to the fronts or rears? A few years ago I colormatched my rear 6 1/2" LX pods & removed the grill fabric, but then about 2 years ago I removed them and installed tan rear 6"x9" EX pods. I took the grill fabric off of those as well. The pods are empty right now...just been running my 6 1/2"s up front and 12"s in the trunk. The reason why is about 3 years ago the 4-channel amp that was running the 6 1/2"s & 6x9"s lost 2 channels. I'm using the 2 good channels still for the fronts and using my other amp for the 12"s.

Haven't posted in my thread for a while, just wanted to let you guys know I still have the CB and she's running strong!

Was almost going to list it a couple days ago but our '03 Accord has been acting up so it's a good thing I didn't. Did some research & checking inside the bay and found out that it's the starter that's going bad. Every once in a while the car won't start up like it should but after a couple mins it will...until this most recent time. Had to tap the starter a couple times with my hammer while wifey was turning the key and it finally fired up...and been fine since then. Don't have alot of $ to use right now to fix it so I'm putting it off for just a little bit.

Going to wash & vacuum all 3 of the cars today since they all need it bad! Maybe I'll get a couple pics of the CB when I'm done and post them up...even though nothing's really changed. Lol...

Haven't worked on the CB since I installed the hubs, rotors, and etc a few months back. Just haven't had the time or $ but she's still clean & running strong!

Never really thought about it...the wheels sit about flush with the side of the car right now though. Not sure if I'd like them poking out a little. Hmm...interesting.

Talked to a friend the other day restores classics about painting my car and he said a good friend does the painting for him. He asked the dude what it would cost to lay a nice, fresh coat of paint on the CB for me and he said $1k. I've seen his work 1st hand it's definitely worth it...if I had the $! Lol... Might just continue to lay low on the car project status until tax time next year and then sweet talk the wifey into letting me get it done.

Well guys...it's finally that time to move on. I hate to do it, and it's going to break my heart to watch her leave, but I've decided to list the CB today. At this point in my life my family needs me ALOT more than the CB does...and I really want to pay off some debt with the $ that I'll get from it.

The car is in awesome shape, is running great, has no rust and no mechanical issues right now...so it would be a good time as any to sell it. I still love the car, and I'm proud of all the time & work I've put into it over the 12+ years I've had it. The memories of it all will always be there and maybe someday down the road I'll pick up something else to work on, but it won't be a CB again.

Just wanted to say thanks to all the friends I've made because of this forum and all the knowledge I've gained from everyone here. You guys are awesome!

My 1 wish in all this, is that I'll hopefully find someone that'll appreciate & love the CB just as much as I did.

Yeah...kinda felt like this day may come sooner or later...maybe. It makes we feel like crying just to think of the CB being gone...gonna be hard when it actually happens. So much time & energy put into her...would REALLY like her to go to someone that will care about her as much as I have. Kinda hoping that someone on the forum will be the 1 to drive her away...at least then I'd know she was going to a good home.

The 7th gen is strictly the wifey's dd bro...no mods will ever be done to it. No interest in it anyways. I like the 7th gens...would just want an EX that was a different color.
