i saw a special AR-15 that used .22 long in it lol can't remember where i saw it lol

There are conversions for the AR15. It fires .223 cal aka 5.56x45. You can convert a standard AR15 to fire .22LR. OR you can buy a new upper and mags. OR you can get the whole thing. Colt makes them I think.

Yugo SKS and a Ruger 10/22 for me. I don't know what it is, but I love both of them. Decently cheap to shoot and accurate enough for me. Plus the NATO spec grenade launcher on the SKS is pretty cool.

Wound up going with a .243 instead, since I actually don't plan on hunting. For some reason I had 30-06 in my head, not quite sure why.

The gun is technically a Marlin XS7 (short-action version of the XL7), but most people still call them XL7s, and the owners manual says XL7 as well.

Anyways, also purchased a Mossberg Maverick 88 12ga with 28" barrel for home defense. Swapping out the 28" barrel for an 18.5" ASAP. I'll have pics up when I can find my damn USB cable.

It holds 6 2-3/4" shells, and depending on how accurately the shells are made, can accommodate 6 3" shells, according to the manual. I bought a box of 3" 000BK Magnum buckshot (sucker doesn't stand a chance if I have it loaded with that!), and a box of 2-3/4" 000BK buckshot.

Yikes. 3" buckshot is going to hurt in a pump gun lol.
