Spring West Coast CB Road Trip!

Just finished booking my hotels rooms. I start heading up next Tuesday evening. It's been a long time since my last real vacation. I usually only take time off when I'm really sick or need time to work on my cars.

Bakersfield > Monterey > San Francisco

Thought of this since my Ody will serve as the support vehicle

I went up the coast this weekend and took a few sneak peek pics of some travel spots we will pass. I can't believe it is just a week and a half away!

At the moment I just got done with my valve cover gasket and tube seals they were hecka brittle. Think some new radiator hoses are going to be in the works within the week because I would just like to have the assurance of good hoses at least. My brakes don't squeak but I may get new ones all the way around and since I was broke I wrapped the inner boot (which was ripped) with gorilla tape and a ziptie lol i should be able to replace that though. @af_1132 Thats sorta a tease I don't get much bay area status living in the valley lol but I am so stoked to roll with everyone!

(off subject is anyone up for me bringing/ using my GoPro? I am going to be going easy on my CB but I can attepmt to throw a cool video together for everyone after the cruise)

Due to some bad news from my dad who's back east, i most likely won't be attending. I'm gonna fly out to Florida soon, but we don't know exact dates yet and i'm not sure the motivation to be social will be present when i return.

Please, please please don't worry about those walkie talkies. It's just more trouble to send them than it's worth, especially since I don't know if I will see you when we arrive to return them. I need my own set anyway.

All right troops, the first post has been edited with the up-to-date Google Map for your reference near the top. I assume everyone is aware that the trip is on Saturday the 11th, not Friday the 10th after all the posts in this thread.

Got a set of the 'talkies, and am stocking up on all the fluids, chargers, and meters we could ever need. Now, I just need to figure out what and how many tools I should bring.

Man, this has been a rollercoaster. So, plans have shifted a bit with the funeral back east and i should be able to make the last meeting spot of the trip!

The car's rough and i haven't got half as much done as i wanted, but at this point i don't really care. Just hoping to meet some cool people with nice cars that they're into.
