Will do, I won't let this thread get buried, no way. We are just a couple months out now

Based on everyone's availability responses, it is looking like April 10th will work best for everyone so far. So, as of now, the date will be April 10th.

Awesome. The idea of meeting everyone I've met on here is equally motivating.

I'm going to edit the first post to reflect our decided date and better time estimates for the stages of the trip.

Can we agree that this road trip is not an excuse to street race, do burn outs, do top speed runs and generally act like an idiot with other CB7s?

My car is technically not street legal and the last thing I want is to get a fix it ticket/ref ticket/racing fines/impounded. Because a few in the group decided to act like fools.

                  Na, maAn, #streetracerzzz #catdeletefart #topoutzz

Seriously though, yes please! I'm with you all the way: cruzing speeds only. This is not a fast lane weaving-through-traffic road trip. We are in this to stay together. In addition to what you said, if some people are being stupid, then we will no doubt get split up, and people not familiar with the area could get lost.

My car's not street legal either, and try as I might with an air box, the AEM components won't allow me to pass visual. Highway 1 is CHP territory, and they will be suspicious enough of a bunch of modified Accords rolling down the highway together. I can't imagine what Anthony is going to do if he get's stopped again!

My dad was a 35 year veteran of the CHP force before he retired, so a ton of CHPs will know me if they do pull us over between Half moon bay and Carmel. We can't rely on that to be a saving grace, though. Luckily, all interested CB7Tuner peeps seem reasonable and mature, as far as I know.

                  Bottom line: NO STUPID DRIVING!!!

Aw man, can't get work off?? Haha, I know it's probably a little more complicated than that, seeing as Colorado --> California is easily 3x the length of the actual trip.

But, yes, next year's request will be honored.

On a side note, I will be getting a set of 4 long range walkie talkies: a must for a multi-car road trip. The person leading and the person taking up the rear will have one, as well as two cars in the middle (maybe one depending on the numbers that actually show up, which should be everyone! ).

I've just made three back-and-forth cross-country drives moving myself from NY to CO (twice with overloaded trailers, 180 HOURS of highway driving), and quite frankly it used up all my spending money, and my desire to even be on the highway again anytime soon. Only been here a couple months, so I need to get myself situated (and my car back on the road) before I can think about west coast trips. But that is part of the reason why I'm here! Really looking forward to being within road-trip reach of the west coast to explore it more, and this sort of meet-and-cruise is right up my alley. I'm looking forward to seeing lots of pics of how it turned out, and it already is on my serious list of things planned for next year. Have a great time!

Wow, that is a lot of NOT FUN driving. I'm sure it's an adventure you will never forget, though.

It's sad that this isn't an understood rule with car groups.

One or two guys doing dumb shit can ruin the situation for everyone and will not be tolerated. If you can't act like an adult, you'll be told to leave like a child.

I'm getting very excited for this!
