Well the focus is back on the road. Got a 2nd hand LCA and axle. All is well but the mid bearing on the axle makes a tiny grinding noise. Nothing to worry about.
I did spill a bunch of tranny fluid when the old axle came out. Maybe 1/4 of a quart. But the weird thing is that the dip stick shows full for tranny fluid. I'm not sure what's up with that.
And for the note. Fords suck. I'm so driving this thing into the ground!

And on the side note, I got to use my Air Tools! It came in handy ...... kind of .
For the bolts required to install a new LCA and axle on the focus the bolts were:
- wheel bolts (gun worked great!)
- lower shock boot pinch bolt (worked great!)
- LCA bolts (3 of them). (nope)
- Axle bolt (worked great!)
The biggest help was the axle bolt. I had a broken axle so the whole unit would simply spin. Without air, and alone, I would of had to break the bolt loose while the car was on the ground with the tire on and hope that it came off. With the air it jugged that thing off after 30sec! (yes I said jugged, seems to fit).
The other large bolts were so rusty and on so tight the gun had no chance. So I started reading up on guns. My gun has a max of 90 lb/ft for torgue. My compressor is a 5lbs compressor with a max PSI of 125.
So while I seen a nice gun set online for sale that could do 300 lb/ft you would need a 30 gallon tank or higher to get this setup. So maybe I'll just push for a higher lb/ft gun and max the compressor out.
New to the air setup so just learning

I got offered a job a few days ago i don't think I can refuse. I just finished the interview and hopefully I get it. I'd have to move to Halifax, but the pay is $50-$60/hr. Its a 12 month starting contract with room for extension.
I'll know if I got it by this Friday so wish me luck, . I'm nervous
