Its fun and not fun. It gives you a feeling of power and yet it makes it slower. Ill be happy when my traction issues are taken care of.

well, got a new problem. been having a little rough idle for a week or so now and decided to check things out. leak down tested very good <2%, 185psi across the board. wires are good, new plugs, new cap and rotor, and pulls a steady -21psi to -22psi vacuum. checked the timing and the AFR's, she's a little rich but down on power. she makes 188.6whp and not a penny more. it made 204whp with 40 deg ambient temps and 65-70 deg iat's which mean with the current 68-70deg ambient temps and 115-120deg iat's it should still make 195whp-198whp. the header wrap came off so im hoping thats a majority of the loss but it still doesnt explain the rough idle. im hoping i just didnt tighten the adjusters enough on the rocker arms. or it just could be that damn oem exedy clutch, lol. if the stage 1 exedy is rated for 190wtq i can only imagine how overwhelmed a oem is with 60k hard miles with some drag launches on it. man it feels good to vent, lol. i just need to make it to february so i can afford to fix it all.

Did the correct valve adjustment today. I called web camshafts and believe it or not they recommend .007" intake and .008" on exhaust for regrinds. I guess I was not paying attention or I didn't tighten the lock nut enough, the intake was .013" and exhaust was .016". Power is back up. Didnt dyno but it definitely feels back to it's old self again. I have a f22a6 cam laying around so I'm thinking about getting a 148E+6 vs the 148E+3 I'm running now.

It all depends on the new cam I want. I want the same cam I have now with an additional 18º duration on the exhaust side.

The gasket is P2R and the spacer is AP1AP2.
I got bored and took a pick of the new header wrap.

Interesting I'm wondering f if I should adjust my Bisi cam to those specs. I was adjusted to .010/.011 I believe.

.013 and .016 sounds familiar. I I came accross those specs here on the forum, but I'm not sure where they got their numbers from. My Chiltons says that OEM specs are .010 and .012. I'll have to double check that again now. When i installed my Bisi stage2 cam I removed .001 from each.

It does seem to run quite a bit better with the tighter valve adjustment and it's much quieter without the valve chatter.
