The exposure and post-processing from the sensor probably changes quite a bit though. The thing that makes recording video hard is the bandwidth and processing that is necessary to do so. Even at 1080p (~2 MP if you want to be naive), encoding the frames into usable video at any sort of frequency (framerate) takes a lot of processing power, and unless you paid for that high powered processor, you're going to have to make sacrifices elsewhere, and that's most likely going to be in the image/noise/grain reduction pipeline, meaning your image quality will suffer (when compared to a 5MP image reduced to 1920x1080). Just a heads up is all; I wouldn't let it bother you!
Take a still video at 1080p and compare a frame of it to a still shot taken under the same conditions. I'd be curious to see the results if you do, actually!
thanks im well aware... its kind of what i do for a living. all i was getting at is there will be more information in the file dealing with the frame from the camera function. i wasnt speaking on image quality at all. not to mention shutter speed being more appropriately setup for a photograph. i also shoot some video at work and grabbing frames from the footage is of much lower quality, and obviously resolution.

Sick pickup, Smokey! GCs, and eagle-eye GDs are where it's at for me.
... not 3D, just Blu-Ray
While Emma Stone is probably the perfect woman, imo, this movie was a bit disappointing. The Toby movies did the comics more justice.Last edited by CyborgGT; 01-03-2013, 05:44 AM.
