I gave my car some stitches


also notice how my strut tower bar dont fit. im trying to figure out a way to customize it to work. ideas?

Also, im waiting for something un-important and ricey to add to my car. ill give you a cookie if you can guess what it it.

Ohhh, I didn't realize you had the ends already down, I thought it didn't fit yet.

Try turning them in all the way? Is that bar meant for a CD5?

Im thinking ill take it to a shop and have them shorten it. Welding aluminum takes special equipment. and yes its for a CD5

Lol CD5 suspension stuff fit our cars but the strut bars are wider because their bodies are wider than ours.

Do you have a nasty, corroded and rusty OEM battery tie down? Well mine was nasty and one of the bolts was seized up. So i went down to the store and picked up a Linx battery tie down bolts.

I peeled off the plastic crap Honda had around the battery tie down bar then i sanded and grinded down all the corrosion and rust.

Then i got some matte black paint and sprayed the bar, bolts and even the wingnuts for coolness

Then I installed it

Looks much better now. Those little details, i think, make your car what it is. I was thinking of doing a DIY about this but idk. I think its simple enough to figure out yourself. You guys tell me.

Heres something i did a couple weeks ago


Sprayed my rust with some white industrial paint to try and slow its progress of corroding my quarter panels. Makes it look a little better, to because there isnt a big brown spot. This isnt my "repair" of the rust. This is temporary until i get to cutting it out.

Should have just hit the hardware with a wire brush or wire wheel. Cost to u 0$ blast the nuts with wd40 or pb blaster.

I could have but i just like the wingnuts and those rubber things. Those would have cost me as much as this whole kit that was on sale. Now i dont need tools to remove my battery tie down and im working on getting some battery cable ends that snap on and off like a Lexus LFA

Update on 8/4/2011: I swapped all the pins in my sedan trunk lock so now i can use my key to open the trunk. Awesome.

Also! Im getting a job at Honda as a technician. All that has to been done is the drug test and he said if i pass i will be hired (and i havent touched drugs in my life) Now ill have money to drive and make my car the way i want it.
