It is really cheap and easy though, just time consuming. I can explain to you how to do it, or I could just convert another climate control or something LOL!
Let me know if you want to know how to do it and I will give you the step by step. You wouldn't have any trouble figuring it out on your own.

Then all you have to do is pop the buttons off of the switches, and replace the little green plastic filters with an orange cutout of the same shape and Voila amber lights that don't require funky bulbs. You will probably have to glue the buttons back on, because the little tabs that hold them on will most likely break.
The climate control is a little harder, because you have to disassemble it so you can get to some of the parts. Peel the face off around the temp and fan knobs (it is glued on) and use paint thinner to carefully wipe off the aqua pain for the fan speed display. Be careful, because the whole thing is painted, so if you rub too much, you will start to take the black off.
The just cut a filter for that and glue it on and replace.
The hardest part was the ignition switch and the ashtray/cig lighter since they use colored bulbs. I just bought LED replacement bulbs off of ebay for those.
